The Supreme Court acknowledged today the remodeling of the Court building to include a special access corridor for Emergency Applications from the Trump Administration. “They’re coming so fast and furious that we needed a clear path for the sheer deluge,” explained Jason Slipstream of the Court’s operations group. “To avoid the ever-present gaggle of reporters outside, we’ve positioned a taco truck over a street manhole to allow prompt delivery into the basement. We’ve had turnarounds in as little as 36 hours!”

An article in The Hill puts the Emergency Application win in the Trump court. At 21 victories in his first six months, Trump has eclipsed the 19 wins that Biden garnered in all four years of his presidency.

“With Congress asleep at the wheel of government, the judicial branch stands alone as a check against executive overreach,” said Leland Sidestepper, Professor of Law and Policy at the Schyster School of Law in Baton Rouge. “Regional and Appellate judges have more frequently sided with the challengers bringing suit; but the Trump Administration runs to the Supreme Court, slips an appeal under the door, and walks away with a reversal in a matter of a few days. It’s unbelievable!”

Mr. Slipstream prided his solution, saying the costs of the remodel would be fully offset by a new revenue source. “The taco truck is able to conduct business all the while. We sell burritos for twice the going rate. The reporters are so stunned by the legal proceedings they don’t even look at the receipt!”
