Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia made an unexpected demand today, calling on Russian President Vladimir Putin to “release the tapes!” The long-time Trump supporter appeared suddenly willing to counter the President after announcing her imminent retirement from Congress, a move political analysts are calling “the courage of someone with nothing left to lose.”
Greene pressed her demand at a hastily arranged press conference outside a Waffle House in Dalton, Georgia. “At every meeting with Putin, President Trump has cowed: the embarrassing rejection of his own intelligence community on Russian election interference in 2016; the abandoned claims that he could get Russia to stop invading Ukraine in a day; the recent Alaska Summit. And now this farce of a peace plan dictated by his ‘good friend’ Vlad. Enough! Putin, release what you’ve got on him! Show us your ‘kompromat.’
It has long been speculated that Trump behaved inappropriately on his trips to Moscow, particularly when he held the Miss Universe pageant in Moscow in 2013. Rumors of more than one sex tape have circulated but never been confirmed.
