Prices high? Tariffs threatening to raise them higher? The President has an answer for that: “Who cares?”
Visitors to the White House today saw President Trump wearing a light jacket with the words, “Who Cares?” written across its back. The President offered no explanations for the change in attire, although staffers recalled his wearing Melania’s jacket in recent weeks.
“Of course, he had to alter it to fit his slightly larger chest size,” said one staffer who spoke confidentially in order to keep his job. “He said he didn’t need all that excess material and waste; so he cut out vertical sections until it hung more loosely around him. At that point, her words about ‘not really caring’ were hard to make out. So it’s quite logical for him to have a new one made with clearer messaging.”
When asked in the afternoon press briefing about the matter, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt explained. “Along with government departments and excessive expenditures, the President is likewise downsizing empathy. With many difficult but necessary reductions still ahead of us, President Trump is signaling Americans to resist emotional entanglements and stay strong in our battle to rightsize all across the government.”
At 9:32 p.m., President Trump himself posted on Trump Social: “Join me in fighting WASTE, FRAUD, and DUPLICATION! Don’t cave to Democratic scare tactics about 401k’s and rising prices. WE WILL WIN!!! Show your support by buying my new “Who Cares?” jacket line now!”
In a separate comment posted minutes later, he added, “Buy Now! Easy pay financing available on Klarnet.”
